Last week was our first time in this restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the excellent service, with the great meal and fine drinks and with the modest pay. We will no doubt come back again.

Mort's has really good food, but their communication is terrible. I am not sure if they have been closed this entire time we have been in quarantine, but NO WHERE on their website or Google location does it say that they are closed - which they are. I tried getting takeout from them a month ago, and the phone just goes to voicemail, and doesn't have a message that they are closed. Their website doesn't say they are closed, and in fact, Google say their location is open. They are NOT open, and do not open until July 1st. Let me save you some time and headache, and again repeat: THEY ARE NOT OPEN AND WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL JULY 1st. I had to physically drive there to see the sign on their door. Not sure why they can't post anything to their website, google, facebook page, or even their voicemail...

While the food is delicious and always has been the ladies that seat and take orders are some of the most vile creatures ever to slime their way across the earth. We aren’t sure where all the hate comes from and truly we don’t care. We will never ever grace this establishment with our disdain invoking presence again. And for the record this is a review based on our last 3 pre Covid experiences.

I drove 15 minutes to try this out for lunch today. Even DoorDash showed that they were open and I could place an order for Mort’s through the app. But when I arrived, their sign said OPEN but then a note on the door said they’re closed ALL DAY for a private party. If you’re going to do such nonsense as a fast-casual good restaurant, have the decency to communicate this to the public in a better manner. I walked in and asked if I could still get their food through DoorDash even though they were closed but the staff rudely dismissed me and didn’t seem to care about me as a customer since I wasn’t paying an extravagant price to close the place down for a whole day.

I go to this place quite often! This is my favorite place to dine. I visit this spot routinely. The food is of high quality, the crew is courteous and the payment is affordable. I enjoy being in this place for a tasty meal.

last night was our first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We had great time with the attentive service, with the high quality meal and fine drinks and with the friendly charge. We will surely go back there soon.

Pros: The food was amazing , I had the corned beef which was very lean, knish and a cup of the hot cabbage borscht soup.Cons: - soda was flat- restaurant was practically empty took a while to be seated- service was slow- waitress seemed to be having a bad day and came off rude- food was a little on the pricey side and to add to things a 3.95% charge for using a credit card (was also included for takeout on food)!!

When you walk in it smells great however on the takeout side there is nobody to greet you. Wait time was long and I had only ordered a cold sandwich with meat and cheese on it. I ordered the Mobster sandwich and it was delicious but the chips were dry. I would have been happy to pay $10 for this lunch but a hard $16 for that just doesn’t seem worth it. Either the prices need to come down or service needs to get better but until then it’s going to be tough to retain customers.

The Ruben is unbeatable! There were a lot of sandwiches I want to go back and try just because they have a great mix between old deli classics as well as some that were totally new to me. fantastic atmosphere and great service. Went Friday during lunchtime and the service was prompt and thorough. Highly recommend Morts Deli.

Green bean fries are wonderful. Perfectly crispy and the ranch has just enough dill 👌 The waitress was prompt in service and very nice. A little pricey for deli style food, but the quality is there. 10/10 will be back.

The portions are extremely generous, you absolutely need to come very hungry! My corned beef sandwich was so very good. My son had a Rubin sandwich which my 16 year old couldn't hardly finish. There macaroni and cheese bites where State Fair worthy. Calli was our waitress, she was extremely attentive to us and even gave us a free desert.

WHOA. Amazing. I dunno how I haven’t come across Mort’s before, but I might become a frequent customer! Cheese curds, potato knish, and the lansky. Drooling. I’m gonna get myself sick cuz I’ll eat it all tonight in one sitting! The home chips are phenomenal.

2:00 pm was a nice time of day to go to Mort's it's the start of their afternoon specials. I had their soup and half sandwich special. In this case it was a delectable Reuben filled with mounds of tender corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on toasted marbled rye bread. And I had a delicious and creamy wild rice soup.The restaurant was clean uncluttered with the high ceilings of a popular family and sports hangout.The server was efficient and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

My friend and I love meeting for good breakfast. Mort's did not disappoint. I ended up with some leftovers (which I almost forgot, but one of the amazing staff luckily caught my attention as I was leaving) and I basically shared some of my food with my whole family to share my excitement about the food.I'd definitely go here again, and I look forward to trying more of Mort's food!

Great food and I like the counter service so you can peruse the options and menu. I got my food to go but it looked like the seating area was nice. Plus they serve beer which is always a plus. There seems to be enough parking but it’s in the middle of a big strip mall so the lot is shared with many different nearby stores. Good place in a sea of chain restaurants. Give them your business.

Mort's is a MUST for any foodie. I can tell there are NO SHORTCUTS taken at this restaurant. From the butter tasting roasted vegetables to the real mashed potatoes and gravy. And then above and beyond with 4 extraordinarily buttered pieces of toast for the open faced roast beef sandwich meal. Hands down. Best Open Faced Sandwich meal in the Twin Cities.

Pro- Food was great! Both of our sandwiches came out amazing. The chips that come with the sandwich are fantastic too!Con- Food was expensive! $14 for a sandwich and chips (and that is by far not the most expensive sandwich on the menu). For a place that specializes in lunch, that's a bit on the high side! Pro- Dining area was great. Just felt like a nice place to grab a bite. Con- The 3.95% card fee. Come on Mort's, it's 2020 and pretty much everyone pays with card. A quick google search shows the average card fee to a merchant is somewhere between 1.95-2%. I get it, AMEX is more, so ban the card from the store. Don't make money off me because I feel like paying by card. Or do like what 99% of your competition does and eat that cost and raise the prices even more. It just irks me when a business does that. VERY tacky.
